Covenant & Government #10

As a member of the royal priesthood, please repent for breaking covenant with the Lord on behalf of yourself, your generations and your nation for the following and replace with statements in italics

  • listening to soothsayers and diviners as a nation in its government, rule and dominion (Deut 18:14)
    • seeking the Lord for direction and not from soothsayers and diviners as a nation in its government, rule and dominion (Deut 18:14; Deut 28:14; 1 Chr 28:8)
  • not observing the commandments of the Lord and not being blessed as a nation in its government, rule and dominion by not doing so (Deut 28:1-14)
    • observing the commandments of the Lord in your nation’s government, rule and dominion and being blessed as a nation as a result of doing so (Deut 28:1)
    • asking the Lord for wisdom in how to observe the commandments of the Lord in your nation’s government, rule and dominion (Deut 28:1)
    • The blessing for obedience for the nation of Israel is that the Lord will set her high above all nations. If other nations obey the Lord, they would also be blessed. However, Israel’s blessing of being set “high above all nations of the earth” is intended to be the most prominent nation under this blessing.
  • not declaring the glory of the Lord among the nations in your nation’s government, rule and dominion (1 Chr 16:24; Ps 96:3)
  • not declaring His wonders among all peoples in your nation’s government, rule and dominion (1 Chr 16:24; Ps 96:3)
    • declaring the glory of the Lord among the nations in your nation’s government, rule and dominion (1 Chr 16:24; Ps 96:3)

  • raging as a nation in its government, rule and dominion (Ps 2:1)

    • living from the truth that your nation or kingdom belongs to the Lord (Ps 22:28)
  • neither believing nor living from the reality that the Lord God rules and reigns over your nation and all nations (Ps 22:28; Ps 47:8)
  • not acknowledging in your nation’s government, rule and dominion that God sits on His holy throne (Ps 47:8)
    • believing and living from the reality that the Lord God rules and reigns over your nation and all nations (Ps 22:28)
    • acknowledging in your nation’s government, rule and dominion that God sits on His holy throne (Ps 47:8)
  • not acknowledging the counsel of the Lord for your nation in its government, rule and dominion (Ps 33:10)
  • not seeking the plans of the Lord for your nation in its government, rule and dominion (Ps 33:10)
    • acknowledging the counsel of the Lord for your nation in its government, rule and dominion in order to keep Him from bringing the counsel of your nation to nothing (Ps 33:10)

  • not being a nation whose God is the Lord (Ps 33:12)

    • allowing the righteous to have places of authority in your nation and in its government, rule and dominion (Prov 29:2)
    • being able to rejoice as a people when the righteous are in authority (Prov 29:2)
  • not being a nation that is glad and sings for joy because the Lord judges the people righteously (Ps 67:4)

  • bringing reproach to your nation and its government, rule and dominion through sin (Prov 14:34)
    • being righteous in your nation’s government, rule and dominion, for righteousness exalts a nation (Prov 14:34)
    • asking the Lord for wisdom in how to be righteous in your nation’s government, rule and dominion (Prov 14:34)
    • asking the Lord for courage and strength for your nation to live righteously in its government, rule and dominion (Prov 14:34)
    • asking the Lord to raise up people who would righteously influence your nation’s government, rule and dominion (Prov 14:34)
