As members of the royal priesthood, we are revisiting the area of culture of the Family in our Nation relating to covenant. This week’s topic is based on Scriptures pertaining to keeping covenant with our Heavenly Father. Please join me in praying for repentance and replacement concerning our relationship and covenant we have with our Heavenly Father. Having our relationship in right alignment with our Father in Heaven will help our relationships in our natural families. We cannot be in right relationship with our families if we are not in right relationship with our Heavenly Father.

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16 (NKJV)
- Not letting our light shine before men (Matt 5:16)
- Not allowing others to see our good works either by hiding them and/or not doing them (Matt 5:16)
- Not glorifying our Father in heaven with our light and good works (Matt 5:16)

Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.” Matthew 5:43-45

- Not being true sons and daughters to our Heavenly Father by hating our enemies and cursing those who curse us (Matt 5:43-45)
- Not being perfect as our Heavenly Father is perfect (Matt 5:45)
- Loving our enemies (Matt 5:43-45)
- Blessing those who curse us (Matt 5:43-45)
- Doing good to those who hate us (Matt 5:43-45)
- Praying for those who spitefully use us and persecute us (Matt 5:43-45)
- These actions are done by sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father (Matt 5:43-45)
- Being perfect as our Heavenly Father is perfect (Matt 5:45)
[Jesus said,] “Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven. Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly.” Matthew 6:1-4 (NKJV)
- Doing charitable deeds before men to be seen by them in order to have glory from men (Matt 6:1-2)
- Doing charitable deeds in secret in order to be rewarded by our Heavenly Father (Math 6:4)
“And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.” Matthew 6:5-6 (NKJV)
- Praying in order to be seen by men (Matt 6:5)
- Praying in the secret place to be rewarded by our Heavenly Father (Matt 6:6)
“And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words.
“Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him.” Matthew 6:7-8 (NKJV)
- Do not pray vain repetitions like the heathen (Matt 6:7)
- Not praying in the manner of the Lord’s prayer (Matt 6:9-15)
- Your Heavenly Father knows what we need before we ask (Matt 6:8)
- Pray in the manner of the Lord’s prayer (Matt 6:9-15)
“For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.” Matthew 6:14-15 (NKJV)
- Not forgiving others their trespasses; therefore, not being forgiven from our Father for our trespasses (Matt 6:15)
- Forgiving others their trespasses so our Father will forgive our trespasses (Matt 6:14)
